Daniel Barenboim and the West-Eastern Divan Orchestra will perform Beethoven's Third Piano Concerto and his "Symphony of Fate" No. 5. The ceremonial address will be delivered by Frank-Walter Steinmeier, the President of the Federal Republic of Germany, patron of the Beethoven Anniversary BTHVN2020.
