2025 was not only a year of musical achievements for the West-Eastern Divan Orchestra, but also of its deep commitment to humanistic values, especially in the face of uncertainty.  In this spirit, the musicians elected a seven-member Orchestra Committee, whose members worked to assemble a set of shared principles—an ethical compass for peaceful coexistence and collaborative creativity within the orchestra. "We appreciate each other’s bravery and open-mindedness. We value what our founders and supporters have been doing to help us become who we are, and will be in the future", expressed the Committee.
